The Small Lie That Breaks Big Trust
from GodNAmerica Hosted by Perry Greene
his episode uses the Ryan Lochte Olympic scandal to illustrate how even small lies can cause massive personal and public consequences. It emphasizes that dishonesty is not measured by size but by nature, as Scripture declares all lies contrary to God’s character. Drawing from Proverbs, the words of Jesus, and the writings of Thomas Jefferson, the message connects truth-telling to the survival of freedom. When truth erodes, trust collapses, and without trust, liberty gives way to control and tyranny. The episode challenges listeners to take personal responsibility, recognizing that the preservation of truth—and therefore freedom—begins not in institutions, but in individual integrity and faithfulness.
