The myth is important today, highlighting issues of the freeze response, sexual assault, treatment of women, and suppression of female sexuality compared to male sexuality throughout time.Alone in the desert, during ceremony to connect to the deep Medusa (and snake) energy, they encountered a gang of wild barking dogs. Intimidated and threatened by the noise and energy, they realised that the dogs represented the patriarchy, the shadow of the snake. Working with the situation, pushing through the discomfort, the barking dogs disappeared, the light came and were replaced by peaceful dogs.
