"The Snowball" is a short story for children that follows a bundled-up little boy on a snowy day, rolling and throwing snowballs in his yard while curious snowbirds look on. Proud of his biggest snowball yet, he brings it inside to surprise his mother — and sets it down right in front of a crackling fire.
