from The Soul Goals · host Dawn

Send us Fan MailSoulful and elegant on all levels, professional singer and vocal coach Maureen Murphy found that music provided her safety and vulnerability at a young age and as she stepped her feet in to Berkley College of Music, she knew that her passion for performance was something she would work tirelessly for. From sharing the stage with Zac Brown Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, John Mayer, Michael Franti, Gavin DeGraw, and Gladys Knight as well as performing numerous times at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater and Fenway Park, Maureen has experienced some of the highest moments coupled with some of the loneliest times.  Her pursuit of music found her in NYC, one of the biggest cities in the world, and feeling more alone than ever.  Her decision to put her musical pursuit on pause and travel to Santa Fe with hopes of an adjusted vantage point was the beginning of her healing process.  After a short stay in New Mexico, she found herself loading what she could fit in to her car and traveling back across the country, but this time to Nashville.  She didn’t know what she would encounter but she realized that change was needed and that ultimately, taking that step was paramount to her souls evolution.Maureen worked day jobs to supplement her musical passion at night in her early years in Nashville.  But her personal healing took center stage as she uncovered the key to her fulfillment was learning to love herself as she was and affirming that she is worthy of that self-love and acceptance.  Maureen’s emotional work led her to realize that if she could accomplish such personal success in this capacity, she could accomplish just as much professionally.  As Maureen continues to write her story, this season of life finds her more at peace in her body than ever before, feeling joy and gratitude for her days and her gifts.  What a true gem!Everyone has a story, and every story matters!Support the showThank you for lending your time to The Soul Goals today!  If you enjoy the content, we'd love to have you subscribe and write a review! You can also find more of The Soul Goals on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube!https://instagram.com/the_soul_goals?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==https://www.facebook.com/TheSoulGoals?mibextid=LQQJ4dhttps://youtube.com/@TheSoulGoalsPodcast?si=XvgQQnixi-SmMGg7If you have an idea for an episode or would like to share your own story, we'd love to hear from you!  Email [email protected]
