The Soul Goals, Episode 24: Jasmyn

Send us Fan MailJanuary 4, 2019:  Jasmyn Brooks had the fullest life with three lovely daughters under the ages of 10, a fiercely loving husband, and a new business venture taking shape.  But this date had different plans for her after she found a lump in her breast in late 2018…this was the date she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer at age 35. The swiftness of both Jasmyn’s diagnosis and treatment plan came on like a freight train finding her normal routine uprooted.  Friends, family, and unending community support surrounded Jasmyn immediately.  Knowing that she had to put her head down and go-to-work through both chemo and radiation didn’t deter Jasmyn as she valiantly worked to stay positive and move through this season with grace and the spirit of a true warrior.Jasmyn and her family quickly adopted the “no saying the c word” in their house, her young daughters initially deciding that every time someone would say it, they’d have to do burpees or push-ups (and four years after her treatment has come to a close, they’re still serious about this family rule!) Jasmyn’s physical activity level and dedication was a positive factor in her healing journey, helping her keep her mind clear and focused on the tasks of the battle she endured.  Throughout this journey, Jasmyn formed and created a wonderful community as she opened CrossFit P23 in Mt.
