The Sound of Sheer Silence

God leads him to Mount Horeb, the mountain of encounter. A great wind tears through the mountains, but the Lord is not in the wind. An earthquake shakes the ground, but the Lord is not in the earthquake. A fire blazes, but the Lord is not in the fire.Then comes the silence.Bruce reminds us that we often look for God in the dramatic, the spectacular, or the unmistakable.
