The Speed of Sound with Kyle Meredith: Hamilton Leithauser

from Live Lunch · host WFPK

With the announcement that his band The Walkmen would go on hiatus, Hamilton Leithauser found himself free to experiment with new sounds. His first solo record, Black Hours, was a nice reintroduction, but teaming up with longtime friend, and former Vampire Weekend member, Rostam, really proved to be recipe for a new direction. The two dove into everything from choirs to doo wop and everything in between, and the result, I Had A Dream That You Were Mine, is one of the best records of the year.
