The Spirit of God & the New Creation: A Pentecost Sermon

A new creation is in the works!  It is the result of the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, who was and is poured out on us in Pentecost, is the one who is making that new creation a reality in our world.  The Holy Spirit is not given merely to save our souls nor merely to make us feel good nor merely to make us holy nor merely to empower for ministry.  The Holy Spirit is given to make a new heaven and a new earth where all will flourish.
