THE SPIRIT OF GOD AS MY TEACHER AND GUIDE

📖 Scripture “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance…” — John 14:26 Devotional Message One of the greatest gifts God has given to believers is the Holy Spirit—not only as our Helper but also as our Teacher and Guide. Life presents many questions, decisions, and unfamiliar paths. Human wisdom has limits, but the Spirit of God provides divine direction. He teaches truth, reveals God’s heart, and leads us into the path prepared by the Father. Jesus assured His disciples that the Holy Spirit would teach them all things. This teaching goes beyond gaining information; it is spiritual understanding that transforms the way we think, live, and respond. The Spirit teaches us through Scripture, conviction, inner promptings, wisdom, and moments of quiet revelation. He illuminates what was once unclear and strengthens us to walk in obedience. As our Guide, the Holy Spirit does not only show us where to go—He shapes who we become. He directs decisions, warns against distractions, and aligns us with God’s purpose. Sometimes His guidance comes with peace. Sometimes it comes through correction. Sometimes it requires waiting rather than moving quickly. Yet every instruction from the Spirit carries wisdom and purpose. To experience His teaching and guidance, we must remain available. A teachable heart, consistent prayer life, and regular study of God’s Word create an atmosphere where His voice becomes clearer. The Spirit of God never leads contrary to God’s character or His Word. Today, choose to trust His leading. Allow Him to instruct your steps. Let Him shape your decisions. Walk confidently knowing you are not navigating life alone. When the Spirit of God becomes your Teacher and Guide, confusion gives way to clarity, and uncertainty gives way to purpose. Today, Ask Yourself Am I making room each day for the Holy Spirit to teach me and guide my decisions? Prayer Almighty Father, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Teach me Your ways and guide my steps according to Your purpose. Open my heart to understand Your truth and help me to obey Your leading.
