The Spirit of the Sabbath - Part 2

Pastor Sam continues the teaching series on the Spirit of the Sabbath. In this teaching, Pastor Sam reiterates that the Spirit of the Sabbath is to demonstrate your absolute devotion to God by saying NO to everything else. We also see that the love of the world is tantamount to idolatry and that idolatry distorts and prevents you from being all that God has planned for you. We see that the effect of idolatry is to set your heart on something else other than God. We further examine the two forms of Idolatry: Monotheism Idolatry, which is replacing the supreme place of God in one's life with something else i.e Saying "Yes" always to something else apart from God Polytheism Idolatry, which is holding other things in the supreme position as you do God, i.e. Saying "Yes" to other things as you also say "Yes" to God. The inability to say "No" to anything else makes those things an idol, even if you keep saying "Yes" to God. This form is the most subtle and pernicious. Please listen and share
