The Spiritual Insurrection

This week, Bishop Rodgers teaches from Colossians 1:21-23 on "The Spiritual Insurrection." The natural mind of the unsaved sinner is at war with God. The alienated person is "spiritually dead." The only remedy for a "spiritually dead" person is the "resurrection" of Christ. A "carnal" person is an immature Christian, who lives in the flesh. This person will remain immature if they don't feed on the Word of God and grow. The start of any rebellion starts in one's mind and thoughts. When the human heart is aroused to disobey God, it acts against God. Acting out against Christ's will is insurrection .The daily habits of one's mind are formed by rejecting the truth of the Gospel and results in a life lived as though God does not exist. We pray as you listen to this message, the Holy Spirit will show you any area in which you rebelled either in thought or your heart. If there is rebellion, simply repent and get back to the Word.
