In this episode, we share space with the incredibly dynamic and talented, Sheri (Shuh-ree) Sam. Sam, who was inducted into the Vanderbilt University Hall-of-Fame, led her teams to a Final Four and an Elite Eight during her four years in Nashville (Tennessee). She went on to win two WNBA Championships in Seattle with Hall-of-Fame player, Sue Bird in 2004 and with Bill Laimbeer leading the Detroit Shock in 2008. Sam discusses her incredible journey under legendary coach, Bill Foster while at Vandy and why she decided to not transfer after her freshman campaign, what it was like to be coached by former NBA player Muggsy Bogues (the shortest player in the history of the NBA at 5'3 and who played in the NBA for 14 seasons), playing with a legend like Dawn Staley, her thoughts on the current state of the WNBA moving forward, and her current position with the PGA's HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) Foundation in Northern California.
