Happy Veteran's Day to the 18.5 million veterans like my late grandfather that have ever and currently wear a uniform to serve and protect this country, domestically and abroad. Join Hootie Hoot as he discusses why the hiring of Tony LaRussa by owner Jerry Reinsdorf and the Chicago White Sox was controversial. Although he ended up proving me wrong and did a serviceable job, I still think if a coach of color had made some of the remarks that he had, they would not have had the same opportunity that Tony was afforded. And Dave Stewart came on the show and said he thought it was a good hire. He knows better than most but it was still an example in my opinion of white privilege.
