The Sports Grind 10/21/24 Hour 1: New York Liberty Win First WNBA Title Despite Controversy. Los Angeles Dodgers Facing New York Yankees in 2024 World Series. Deshaun Watson Ruptures Achilles.

Over the weekend, a new WNBA champion was crowned as the New York Liberty survived the Minnesota Lynx to claim the team’s first title. As with much of the rest of women’s basketball in 2024, it wasn’t without controversy, however, as the officials played a part in the ending. The MLB is next in line to have a winner, and the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees are the last two standing in that fight for the World Series.
