The Sports Grind 4/22/24 Hour 2: Los Angeles Clippers Handle the Dallas Mavericks Without Kawhi. Jontay Porter Receives Lifetime Ban from NBA for Betting. Scottie Scheffler’s “Tiger-Like” Run.

Continuing with the NBA Playoffs in Hour 2, the Los Angeles Clippers were able to manhandle the Dallas Mavericks, even with Kawhi Leonard on the bench - just another example of how defense is needed in the postseason. Over the break, there was more development in a story from last week involving Jontay Porter. The NBA concluded its investigation into Porter’s betting history and determined that he did bet on games - even against a team he was affiliated with. Thus, the Association handed him a lifetime ban, drawing the line for players and team officials alike who may consider gambling on the NBA. On the golf course, Scottie Scheffler is in the midst of a “Tiger-like run”, winning his fourth event in his last five starts. Music provided by Fox Sports 1380 El Paso
