The Sports Page With Bob Case Featuring Darrel Chaney
from 100 Yards of Football · host Bleav Podcast Network
Bob Case and Harper LeBel take a walk down memory lane with 10 year vet, Darrel Chaney. Born and raised in Hammond, Indiana, Darrel grew up loving Chicago and traveled 25 miles north east to see his favorite player, Ernie Banks, play for the beloved Cubs. He met Ernie as a 12 year old during a Little League banquet, and the seeds for becoming a Big Leaguer were planted. Darrel was in the Reds lineup in 1970 as they played in the World Series vs. Baltimore. He played against the Oakland A's just 2 years later. The Reds won their first World Series in 1975 against the Red Sox. Darrel was traded to Atlanta and finished his career as a Brave. Soon he was in the broadcast booth working with the Super Station in a very unique time for the growth of the game. Join Darrel and Bob Case as they look back at some of the unique times in baseball history. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
