The Stand Up Guys #20

The Stand Up Guys – Episode #19 (8/10/25) On this episode, we open with tributes to Shigetoshi Kotari and Hiromasa Urakawa — two talented Japanese boxers whose lives were tragically cut short after competing on the same card earlier this month in Tokyo. Kotari collapsed following his OPBF Super-Featherweight title bout, while Urakawa suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage in his featherweight fight. We cover their careers, final bouts, and the immediate safety reforms already taking shape in the wake of this devastating double loss. From there, it’s a heavy dose of kickboxing — featuring breakdowns of two straight One Friday Night Fights cards, Glory 102’s “Last Featherweight Standing” tournament, and a wild RWS welterweight unification bout — plus boxing reviews, news, and a few spicy discussion topics to close.
