The State of the Southern Baptist Convention with Dr. Willy Rice

Pastor Jeff Schreve welcomes Dr. Willie Rice, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church and president of the Southern Baptist Convention, for a wide-ranging conversation about leadership, faithfulness, and the mission of the church. They discuss the SBC’s current challenges, the Truth in Unity amendment, sexual abuse prevention and accountability, transparency and trust, and the need for churches to remain focused on the Great Commission. Dr. Rice also addresses the role of pastors in speaking about important cultural and public issues while avoiding partisan politics. Throughout the conversation, listeners are encouraged to stand firm on biblical truth, faithfully share the Gospel, and trust God with the results.
