The Stone Sky- Episode 1

from Spoil Me · host Natasha Kingston

Thanks so very much to Denise for commissioning this episode! I can't believe I'm on the last book of the series. I'm dying to know how things end up, but I'm also going to be really heartbroken to say goodbye to these characters. This book begins almost exactly where the previous one left off. Essun is still passed out from her efforts, and Nassun is literally still standing over her father's body. Well, what's left of it. Essun has no idea until she wakes that she's destroyed the comm they were living in, and she's really morose at the news that everyone low-key hates her, and they only keep her around because they need Hoa. Nassun, Steel, and Schaffa slaughter the other two guardians, and she convinces Schaffa to take a little journey with her, along with the rest of her classmates. We also get a closer look at the origins of Hoa, and it's really fascinating. I'm absolutely dying to know more about this place and what they did to him, but I'm also not really looking forward to finding out what that looked like. Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!
