The Stone Sky- Episode 2

Y'all, I'm continuing the grand tradition of crying while live on camera, and I'm just gonna assume this will continue until the end of the series. Whew. These chapters, we see to the heart of what's going on with Essun, and she's really struggling with putting the welfare of the comm ahead of her own personal feelings for vengeance and, let's face it, fear. While I deeply understand where Ykka is coming from on that, I'm really having a hard time disagreeing with Nassun's approach to things. Her feelings on the matter especially make sense considering what happens to all her friends. Well, those kids who used to be her friends, I suppose.
