The Stone Sky- Episode 5

Thank you very much to Denise for commissioning this episode! Whew boy, these are some really tough fucking chapters. First off there's the reveal that the way that the stone people were made is actually in reverse of what I had thought; the orogenes as we know them appear to have come BEFORE the stone people, which is totally confusing and yet, once explained, makes the most sense. Then there's the desert trip in which Essun really gets raked over the coals and a huge number of their people die. It's almost as bad as the trial that Nassun experiences, although in the end I think Nassun winds up by far the worse off of the two.
