The Story Behind Rooted Woman: From Brokenness to Becoming | Ep. 18

from Rooted Woman · host rootedwoman

There are stories we carry quietly for years—stories that shape our faith, our motherhood, and our identity long before we ever find the courage to speak them. In this episode, I share mine. Not because it’s perfect. Not because it’s polished. But because it has been redeemed. Rooted Woman was born from surrender—from slow, sacred healing and a God who meets us in the middle of our brokenness. Today, I open my heart to share how trauma, motherhood, and faith intersected in my life, and how God gently rebuilt me piece by piece. I talk about learning to survive in silence, becoming a mother in a place of fear and uncertainty, and discovering that God brings life out of what was meant to destroy us. I share how healing didn’t come all at once—but in quiet prayers, tear-stained worship, Scripture read through exhaustion, and forgiveness learned slowly. Psalm 34:18 became my anchor: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” And over time, I began to believe it. Rooted Woman was not born from success—it was born from obedience. It is not a brand. It is a testimony. A living altar to God’s faithfulness. If you’ve ever felt unworthy, unseen, overwhelmed, or unsure if God could still use your story—this episode is for you. Friend, you are not too broken. Your healing is not too slow. Your story is not too messy. Your motherhood is not too imperfect. God is not finished with you. In this episode, I pray you see yourself in my story—not for comparison, but for hope. You are becoming. And your story matters, even in the middle of it. Thank you for being here in this sacred space. Thank you for walking this journey with me. If this episode encouraged you, I invite you to share it with another woman who needs hope—and remember: You are not defined by your past. You are defined by the God who makes all things new.
