The Story of God: Jeremiah and Exile

Pastor Chris walk us through Jeremiah 42 to show how fear and pride often drive us to ruinous decisions. Using the example of the Israelites who were "backed into a corner" by Babylon, we saw the danger of moving forward with plans we’ve already made without God, simply asking Him to rubber-stamp our agenda. However, God is eager to bless His people when they trust His promise: "I am with you." True faith means rejecting the urge to "know better" than God and instead submitting our plans to His Word and His presence.
