This past Sunday, Pastor Chris Millar walked us through Mark 10, contrasting the spiritual blindness of James and John with the physical blindness of Bartimaeus. While the disciples sought positions of power and glory, Bartimaeus recognized his desperate need and cried out for mercy. Pastor Chris reminded us that we are often "blind to our own blindness," assuming we deserve more from God than we have received. True sight begins when we stop striving for status and adopt the humble posture of a beggar, fully dependent on Jesus’ miraculous grace.
