THE STRAIGHT STORY (1999)

Franz and Paul have tried everything a person can do.  And still, every week, they plow into at least one deer.  This week: David Lynch's 1999 slow 'n' stubborn midwestern road movie THE STRAIGHT STORY, starring Richard Farnsworth and Sissy Spacek!  Armed with hot dogs and grit, 73-year-old Alvin Straight drives from Iowa to Wisconsin on a John Deere lawn mower to reconnect with his ailing brother.  The trip is a hard swallow of his pride...but a brother's a brother.  Tie them sticks in a bundle and try to break that.
