The Strait of Hormuz was opened Friday following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. “The passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. In response to the news, the price of oil quickly plummeted by more than 10 percent, to less than $89 per barrel. President Trump said he expects a deal with Iran soon and that peace talks could resume this weekend.
