In 2022, Joel Edgerton and Sean Harris starred in a film that focuses on the police investigation that led to the perpetrator's eventual arrest, which left the family of the victim in complete disdain. An incredible tale that seems almost impossible, yet The Stranger was indeed inspired by a true story.
