The Subversive Power of Secrets
from Glimmers in the Fog Podcast · host Kim Stiver
As we have all discovered at one time or another, attempting to lock up a secret is as effective trying to conceal the sunrise — you may block the light for a while, but there’s no denying the time of day. All too often, secrets start as little things that slowly snowball over time, fed by the darkness we keep them in. Yet the human heart wasn’t designed to be a labyrinth of secrets. Rather, it was created to be a throne room for God Himself. As such, any secret we create will take up space that our Heavenly Father longs to fill up with His goodness, beauty, peace, truth, hope, and love.
