The British Columbia News of March 25th, 1898, made the announcement that the City of Ainsworth was changing her route temporarily due to railway activity: “The Steamer Ainsworth is scheduled next week to begin trips on the run between Kuskonook and Bonner’s Ferry for a tri-weekly run…The Ainsworth has been undergoing repairs and a thorough overhauling at Kaslo for several weeks past and will be in good condition for the run.
