Having established the person and work of Jesus as the fullness of God’s glory and the fulfillment of God’s promise, the writer of Hebrews further escalates the revelation of the Son. Hebrews 1:5-9 shows us the supremacy of the Son both in position and power. Using several passages from the Old Testament, it unfolds that Christ is the eternal Son of God who is worthy of worship and exaltation. We can see that all throughout Scripture, the supremacy of the Son is revealed.
