The Surprise Wilfred Kept

Arthur has made Miss Bramble a wooden spoon rest to thank her for mending his tool-bag strap. Mr. Puddlesworth is delighted to help wrap it. He is also very nearly delighted to tell her exactly what it is. Brown paper and red ribbon ought to be enough to keep a surprise covered. But when Miss Bramble comes into the shop, Wilfred's hints almost give the gift away. Arthur finds useful jobs for his friend's eager hands while they get the parcel ready.
