This episode is also available as a blog post: https://imnotgoood21blog.wordpress.com/2022/09/27/the-sweet-song-of-life/ The trees dance, the leaves wave in the wind My heart flutters as I lift my chin The wind sings the sweet song of life I walk along the Earth’s path as I end my strife The water rolls between rocks in a stream I empty out my pockets of the past – aim my eyes at the water and see my reflection sing I come to the hills resembling Life’s test Traversing mountains in my mind, forgetting all the rest Beyond the hills few steps are left to take Among the dancing trees and singing waters creation forms and makes The day turns night, my eyes are feeling weary I rest my bones, and too, I rest my theories The night turns day, time to stir awake I open my eyes to start again, until at last I see – the world that be is becoming so opaque The world stops in silence to see if all can hear For if none shall awaken, all remain in fear Yet the world still sings the sweetest song of life And I can feel the rhythm – God’s presence – singing o so bright!
