The Syro-Phoenician Woman: A Covenant of Risk

Bev Moana Hall-Smith identifies with the Syro-Phoenician woman who is marginalized but is unintimidated.  She gets in Jesus personal space and gets her daughter healed and fundamentally changes Jesus mission. "She has no name; she is neither wife of a man nor mother of a son. She has a daughter with an unspeakable disease. She is Greek–racially and linguistically inferior and despised by Jews.
