Gauri was previously working with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP in the UK and then later finishing her exodus shifted back to India and continued working for the same. Gauri Devidayal and her husband Jay Yousuf started their food entrepreneurial journey with their first venture 'The Table' in Colaba, Mumbai. The concept of having a 'Community Table' is the core theme of the restaurant. The instant success pushed Gauri to leave her full-time role with Pricewaterhouse Coopers and pursue their culinary journey.The Table has over the years been recognised as one of the best fine-dine experience restaurants in South Bombay. Gauri Devidayal and Jay Yousuf have also set up 'The Table Farm' in Alibaug which supplies the finest produce to their restaurant. Gauri Devidayal's husband Jay Yousuf who is also co-founder of The Table has been instrumental in setting up the restaurant and running it successfully so far. Gauri and Jay have also capitalised on their entrepreneurial success and since incorporated Food Matters India Private Limited. Gauri Devidayal and Jay Yousuf have since then launched a few more brands under the same banner such as Magazine Street Kitchen which offers a much more intimate dining experience, Mag St Bread Co which is a premium bakery headed by Chef Rachelle Andrade, Dining Table, Magazine St. Kitchen, Mei 13, Iktara and Miss TIn Breaking The Ceiling with Ashwin Bhadri, Gauri Devidayal talks about her journey from being a full-time CA to becoming a food entrepreneur and beyond.
