The TECH REACTIONARY Map: When Religion becomes something we fight about
from Cliff Crego · host Cliff Crego
This is where the DIALOGUE CIRCLE begins… Philosophy? It only takes one bad idea to destroy a man, or woman, or even an entire civilization. Philosophy is not just something we think about; it is something that we do-a practice - like music or yoga. It goes after the contradictions, the misplaced, broken strings, and tunes and retunes its lyre religiously, each day, to the ground of truth. Philosophy sings its songs in the open - honest, naked, direct - and simply listens to how the sound resonates as it rings out into the Universe. ++++ CROW & COYOTE PROGRESSIVE vs. REACTIONARY? CROW asks COYOTE, "Give me your definition of PROGRESSIVE & REACTIONARY. ~ Not just politics. But science and art too!" VeN, And COYOTE says, "Oh, that's easy: QUESTIONS exploring new ways of being attuning to the ground of truth, vs. Rigid CONCLUSIONS holding onto the mistakes... ... of the past.” Music interpolations heard. For fun, two POTS & PANS street protest pieces; Ara, a StarCycle Duo for vibraphone and marimba; Finally, Eltanin, for two timpani players. All of which are on my Soundcloud… IMAGE: The TECH REACTIONARY Map. In the dialogue circle, we go through, one by one, all of these ideas. I would suggest that behind the map is a wildly runaway metaphysics of MORE: more MONEY, more POWER, more CONTROL.
