The Ten Commandments, Charlton Heston, Cecil B. DeMIlle, and a Cast of Thousands

We celebrate Easter on Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site as Mike, Smitty, and Ian welcome Christian Apologist Bob Siegel to the show. Bob talks to us about some of the great Hollywood Biblical Epics such as "The Ten Commandments", "Ben Hur", and "Greatest Story Ever Told". Bob's insight into religion, pop culture, and media helps us to find out how these classic motion pictures were filmed, how they were received in that time period, and how they fit into the pop culture of their day. These movies are epics not only because of their subject matter, but also because they were filmed in color, stereophonic sound, and wide screen. These motion pictures featured many top stars of the day, and included dazzling special effects, in an era when studios were competing with the onset of television. Bob Siegel hosts a popular radio program on KCBQ 1170 AM in San Diego. Our Retro-Commercial is a classic Wrigley's Spearmint Gum piece. Tune in to Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site!
