With over a decade of experience in ambulance service medical directorate roles, he also serves as the medical advisor for the National Ambulance Resilience Unit. Dr. Cowburn has been instrumental in implementing clinical practice changes from the Manchester Arena Inquiry recommendations and is active in the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care in both Immediate Medical Care and Major Incident Management examinations.
