In the same way good parents don’t only tell their children what they want to hear but what they need to hear, in the same way good parents feed their children, not only what they want to eat but what they need to eat - the sincere milk of the word is the word true of God, well taught and understood, sound doctrine that is complete - not just what you want to hear but what you need to hear. Preparing you for all phases of life, including tests and trials. Even though God doesn’t bring tests of life but He tests you through them.
