The Thing (1982)

Hello, our name is Two Dudes, Brews and Reviews and we have diabeetus. Maybe that's not such a bad thing considering we're likely not going to eat ever again after watching John Carpenter's 1982 classic The Thing, because we're FUCKIN' GROSSED OUT. This is easily one of the most disgusting movies we've ever seen: are gunshot wounds and stabbings too vanilla for you? Well we've got the movie for you then. However, it's not all shock value, as this film has a compelling who-done-it mystery at it's core, as well as some dramatic and comedic elements as well. Also, Kurt Russell and his hatred for Chess Wizard is badass. Aside from that - Alex got his Covid vaccine finally (this was recorded in early October 2021), Austin details being cat-called by drunk men at the local watering hole, and we both discuss our strained relationship with horror movies. Before I forget to mention, we're drankin' on some Rhinegiest Penguin, a coffee stout made here in Cincinnati, Ohio.
