Life on an isolated farm takes a disturbing turn when the hay bales scattered around the property begin moving on their own, shifting a little farther each night for no apparent reason. At first, the strange phenomenon seems like the work of pranksters. But when a gruesome act of violence follows an attempt to interfere, the farmer realizes someone—or something—is sending a message. As sleepless nights give way to terrifying discoveries in the darkness beyond the fields, an immense presence emerges from the surrounding woods with a purpose the farmer cannot begin to understand.
