The Things We Got Away With

Send us a message, we'd love to hear from you. Before smartphones, tracking apps, and helicopter parenting… we had freedom. Maybe a little too much freedom. In this episode of Slice of Life, Jay shares how he hopped on a bus headed to a school play he wasn’t even signed up to attend, all for a chance to talk to a girl. Meanwhile, Rich recounts the time he pedaled miles from home, flying down steep country hills at 60 mph… no helmet, no clue, and no one knowing where he was. We’re talking about the risks, the laughs, and the little rebellions that shaped us and somehow didn’t break us. Because sometimes the best memories are the ones we were never supposed to make. There is nothing quite like the slow-smoked goodness at Gig’s BBQ. From tender pulled pork and fall-off-the-bone ribs to his legendary Hogzilla, every bite is packed with flavor and crafted with care. Gig’s BBQ isn’t fast food, it is real barbecue… smoked low and slow over hickory and oak until perfection.
