Our God is a God of war. He isn’t up in Heaven just walking through fields of grass with sunshine and butterflies fluttering around Him. He is actively orchestrating and directing angels and believers as they engage in battle with a real and powerful enemy. Victory in this battle looks much different than what we expect in an earthly battle. The “spoils” of this war are not wealth and power, but servitude and love. To have victory in this fight requires dying to ourselves in order to live fully for Christ.
