The Three Jewels. Buddha Dharma Sangha As Basis For Practice
from Change Your Mind to Change Your World with Stephen Fulder · host Stephen Fulder
The Sacred Triangle in classical dharma is Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. But in all spiritual traditions, there is a similar triangle. Sat-chit-ananda from the Vedic teachings for example. Buddha is the pure awareness, empty, radiant and present. Simply being. Like the sky behind the clouds. Dharma is the transformation and liberation of content or experience that arises. It is working with the shapes of the clouds and letting them go on their way. Sangha is the whole web of relationships that we build. And the joy of being alive. All of these can be a way of guiding our inner work. Each meditation, for example, will have all three of them. In this talk, we will explore how to notice and benefit from each of them in our practice.
