Their words may sound lofty, but Job exposes what they lack most: relevance, compassion, and actual comfort. We talk about the difference between understanding Scripture in its biblical context and applying Scripture wisely to the situation in front of you. Job’s friends keep pushing a simple explanation for suffering, but they misread the moment and misjudge the man.
