What happens when the thing you love most starts to drain you? When passion turns into exhaustion? After 2.5 years of grinding in LA’s dance scene—teaching, performing, producing community shows, and chasing a career that no longer felt aligned—I made a radical decision. I sold everything I owned, packed my bags, and moved to New Zealand with no plans of coming back. In this episode, I share why I walked away from dance, what I learned about passion, identity, and survival, and how taking a literal leap of faith into the unknown led me to unexpected healing. From training at a parkour gym in exchange for work hours to working in a printing factory just to make rent, I learned how to exist outside of my craft, how to detach my worth from my career, and how to rebuild my love for movement from a place of joy—not survival.
