He notices that the day and night cycle starts to end, and the sun grows larger and redder. Finally he notices that the Earth has stopped rotating. He brings the machine to a stop and finds himself on a beach. Green vegetation covers every surface that isn't in the sunlight. Behind him, on a hill, he sees a huge moth flying over it. He turns and sees a huge rock that starts to move and while looking at it, he feels something brushing against his neck, another crab. In fear he pushes the machine further into the future. He stops the machine every hundred years or so to watch the earth ebb away. Finally 30 million years into the future and he comes to a stop. The air is bitterly cold and the only sign of life is some lichen. The air is very thin, and while nearly on the verge of fainting, he pushes the machine back into the past.SEO Stuff that I don't want to do lol...One of the most influential pieces of fiction of all time, The Time Machine by H. G. Wells, sees a Victorian scientist send himself forward to the year 802,701 AD. He is delighted to find that suffering has been replaces by beauty and happiness, and a "new man", the Eloi, has descended from man. Science Fiction book, Sci-fi, Classic Literature
