THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE: PROPHECIES CONCERNING FUTURE THINGS

Both the Old AND the NEW Testaments describe end-times events, including the tribulation and millennium conditions. Studying BOTH of these helps us create a clear timeline and to fill in several details concerning these events. We MUST go to the BIBLE to understand FUTURE events, and God wants us to know them and wrote them for our understanding. BOTH JEWS and GENTILES who believe in God need to be careful to heed the Bible’s warning not to put traditions, human doctrines, or NEW trends in faith teachings ABOVE what the Bible actually says. And so, in this mini-series, we are going to examine these prophecies concerning end-times events to understand how God will RETURN HIS FOCUS to ISRAEL and judge the nations. Today we will look at the OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECIES for this timeline, but NEXT WEEK, we will look at a particularly revealing section of the New Testament to help us align these descriptions and events. At that time, we will examine and compare Matthew’s Olivet Discourse, which appears to be written with the Jewish Audience in mind, along with Luke’s Olivet Discourse, which appears to be written with the GENTILE Believer in mind.   The timeline of the last days according to the Old Testament prophecies reveal: God will bring Israel back into their own land. The whole world will come against Israel. At the end of the Times of the Gentiles, (concluding with the rapture) Daniel's 70th week will ensue. The Antichrist will arise to rule the earth. He will make a covenant of PEACE with Israel for 7 years. This covenant will allow the TEMPLE to be rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem In the middle of the peace covenant, the Anti-Christ will enter the temple, set up an abomination and require to be worshiped. This will start the time of Jacob’s Trouble Many Jews in Judea will realize they had been fooled, and God will help them flee the Anti-Christ. The Messiah (Jesus/Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ ) will come and save those Jews who endure until the end (and we will return with Him) He will set up his 1,000-year kingdom in Jerusalem as King of the Jews, ruling over the nations.
