The Time of Jacob’s Trouble: Yeshua’s Prophecies for His Brethren

God promised, as we have read before, that He WILL bring Israel back into their ancient Homeland in the latter days, which He Gave it to them as an EVERLASTING POSSESSION. We are living in the GENERATION that has WITNESSED these things come to pass as EVIDENCE that God’s WORD is TRUSTWORTHY, INFALLIBLE, and TRUE. The Word of God BUILDS our faith in these PERILOUS TIMES, As the LIGHT of HIS TRUTH SHINES in a WORLD growing DARKER with LIES. The WORD OF GOD STANDS FAST FOREVER, and we can STAKE OUR VERY LIVES on it—as MANY believers around the world must do every day.   Prophecies also reveal that the NATIONS and people who come against Israel will be JUDGED in the GREAT TRIBULATION. And so we MUST have the heart to PRAY FOR, and to LOVE, and to STAND for Israel. PRAY that God would FULFILL all His Promises to His people, and turn MANY to His SON, and save MANY from the TRIBULATION to COME.   Last week I met a young Israeli man who had not only been in Israel when the Oct 7 slaughter happened, but he had actually BEEN AT THE Nova MUSIC FESTIVAL where hundreds of young people were hunted down, raped, slaughtered, and kidnapped.   I was stunned and wondered how he survived. He told me what saved him was that he always honors God, and so he LEFT the festival Friday evening when the Sabbath started, and was safely at home when it happened in the morning. He told me many of his friends were murdered and kidnapped.   I talked with him, sharing our prayers and love for Israel, and encouraged Him for BEING FAITHFUL to God. He was open to talking about Yeshua because the event had PIERCED HIS HEART.   And so we MUST LOVE, BLESS, and PRAY for Israel, according to the scriptures, and God's heart to draw His Chosen People back to Him.   In the PREVIOUS episodes, we looked at how the OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECIES (or the TENACH) reveal the TIMELINE of the Last Days, but THIS WEEK we will look at prophecies concerning the Time of Jacob’s Trouble as given SPECIFICALLY by Jesus/YESHU for HIS JEWISH BRETHREN. These prophecies echo and align with those we already discussed from the Old Testament [TENACH] but are recorded by JESUS HIMSELF in the New Testament, or as the Messianic Jews call it, H’BRIT HADASHA, which is the NEW COVENANT, that God promised to Israel in Jer 31:31 Jer 31:31 "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a NEW COVENANT [B'rit Hadasha] with the house of ISRAEL and with the house of Judah-- Jer 31:32 NKJV - "NOT ACCORDING to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. Jer 31:33 "But THIS is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in THEIR MINDS, and WRITE it on their Hearts; I will be their God, and they shall be My people.   31:31-33 יִרְמְיָהוּ נֵּה יָמִים בָּאִים נְאֻם־יְהוָה וְכָרַתִּי אֶת־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאֶת־בֵּית יְהוּדָה בְּרִית חֲדָשָׁה׃ לֹא כַבְּרִית אֲשֶׁר כָּרַתִּי אֶת־אֲבֹותָם בְּיֹום הֶחֱזִיקִי בְיָדָם לְהֹוצִיאָם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם אֲשֶׁר־הֵמָּה הֵפֵרוּ אֶת־בְּרִיתִי וְאָנֹכִי בָּעַלְתִּי בָם נְאֻם־יְהוָה׃ כִּי זֹאת הַבְּרִית אֲשֶׁר אֶכְרֹת אֶת־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל אַחֲרֵי הַיָּמִים הָהֵם נְאֻם־יְהוָה נָתַתִּי אֶת־תֹּורָתִי בְּקִרְבָּם וְעַל־לִבָּם אֶכְתֲּבֶנָּה וְהָיִיתִי לָהֶם לֵאלֹהִים וְהֵמָּה יִהְיוּ־לִי לְעָם׃   And so in this series, we are looking the prophecies that describe how the Times of the Gentiles will wind down, and then God will use the Last Days and Tribulation events to DRAW His people, ISRAEL back to HIMSELF and to their MESSIAH of the NEW COVENANT which is BY FAITH in YESHUA’s FINAL SACRIFICE for SIN.   But TODAY, we will look at how JESUS describes these prophetic Last Days events through the Gospels of MATT & LUKE, and later in Revelation.
