The Leander ISD will put a tax rate increase on the ballot this fall to address the district's $9.9 million budget deficit, Customs and Border Protection says its pausing construction on part of the border wall in Big Bend National Park following multiple protests against its construction and officials from the City of Austin and the Austin ISD gathered yesterday to discuss safety and safe routes to campus as more than 70,000 kids begin the new school year.
