Four Texas A&M professors are taking their board of regents to court over the new policy banning classroom discussion on race, gender or sexual orientation.There is a growing push to reign in the emerging world of prediction markets. Sites like Kalshi let users bet on just about anything. Some states have instituted bans, and Texas may be next. Austin ISD is replacing many neighborhood bus stops for middle and high school students with centralized transportation hubs. Students will either walk, bike, ride Capmetro, or be dropped off at the hubs before boarding a school bus that will take them all to campus, and Governor Greg Abbott is finding plenty of support for his moratorium on new data center developments, which he says will be in place until Texas energy regulators can conduct a comprehensive audit of all data center projects that want to connect to the power grid.
